If you are tired of typing the same expressions repeatedly, you can use aText to make your life easier. The goal of this application is to streamline your work, by allowing you to insert anything from words to entire phrases instantly with the aid of simple abbreviations. It comes with many other features as well, which you will find quite useful.

Setting up abbreviations as shortcuts is quite easy. The application allows you to organize them in folders, on the left side of its user interface and you can edit the selected items on the right side. All you have to do is type in an abbreviation and its text in separate input fields. Alternatively, you can look through the Insert menu, beneath the editing area, where you will find options for inserting the time and date, clipboard items, images and more.

Abbreviations are saved automatically. Once they are saved, you can use them right away, in any application. You can just type an abbreviation and its corresponding content will be inserted immediately. What's more, you can make your abbreviations case sensitive or set the application to adapt contents to the abbreviation's case.

aText comes with a series of predefined abbreviations as well. You can insert various abbreviations groups, which you can use to insert symbols, HTML and JavaScript snippets and much more.

Pros

You can paste large amounts of text or other elements just by typing an abbreviation. Setting up these shortcuts doesn't require too much effort. The application comes with many predefined abbreviations.

Cons

There are no serious issues to address. Thanks to aText's clean and efficient functionality, inserting complex expressions or other elements into a document can be done with nothing more than a simple keystroke.
